UNSW’s Health Promotions Unit sought to reimagine Sextember, their annual sexual health festival, to normalize discussions on sexual health, encourage respectful relationships, and promote STI testing. The challenge was to create a culturally sensitive and inclusive space that resonated with a diverse student community.
What did we do?
We developed the theme "Pleasure, Love, and Respect" in close collaboration with students, staff, and the sexual health community, ensuring diverse cultural perspectives were central to the brand’s voice. Guided by UNSW’s STOP. EMPOWER. SUPPORT strategy, the brand identity addressed topics of consent and anti-discrimination, fostering positive race relations and empowering students of all backgrounds to participate in the conversation.
How did we make impact?
The campaign led to a 26% increase in attendance and over 70 STI tests, with significant participation from international students. This inclusive brand approach helped build trust and engagement across the campus, supporting a more informed and culturally aware community.
